Project Monitoring Team Lauds Oron LG Boss

The project monitoring team of the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has commenced its 2010 projects inspection and evaluation in the state with a visit to various projects sites in Oron Local Government Area.
Receiving the team, the Chairman, Hon. Victor Ini Okon accompanied by the principal officers of the council described the visit as timely and commendable as it provided the opportunity to appraise the efforts of the council in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
The team was conducted round the various project sites which include the renovated classroom blocks in the Community Secondary School, Eyoabasi, A.M.E. Zion Primary School, Idua Assang, reconstructed Ultra Modern Health Centre, Uya-Oro/Eyotong, and council hall at the Council Secretariat as well as the magnificent political block which consists of 23 offices, complete with boreholes amongst others.
The leader of the inspection team and Head of Inspectorate and Monitoring Directorate, Mrs. Ime Akpan who represented the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Obong Paul Ekpo commended the council for embarking on numerous people-oriented projects and further advised the chairman to embark on more projects for the interest of the people.
Also in the team were Elder Victor Akpabio, Director of Lands and Mr. John Inyang, senior Local Government Inspector.
