His Excellency, Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio will today visit Essien Udim Local Government Area for inauguration of some Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour projects. The projects are: re-habilitated and reconstructed class room blocks and offices at Methodist Primary school Ukana, Government Primary school Ukana, Kezito Comprehensive Secondary School Adiasim, rehabilitated four classroom flats and lodge at Ikot Otu as well as rehabilitated Schools laboratories and mini water projects.

Consequently, the Executive Chairman Essien Udim Local Government, Mr. Nse Ntuen has invited his wife Nene Nse Ntuen, the Vice Chairman Mr. Etido Dan, the Leader of the council Mr. Oscar Udom, Council Secretary Mrs. Veronica Pius, Deputy Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly Elder Emmanuel S. Akpan, the paramount Ruler of Essien Udim Obong Cosmos Akpan to the event.

Also to grace the ceremony are: the Ita-Afe Annang the fourth Okuku Pius Eside, the political father Essien Udim, Chief Michael Afanghide, Secretary of People Democratic Party (P.D.P) Barrister Ibanga Akpabio, Chapter Chairman of P.D.P Essien Udim, members of P.D.P and other party members, Federal and State appointees of Essien Udim extraction, Councilors, Supervisors and Special Advisers.

Others invited to attend the occasion are, the Head of local Government Service in Essien Udim, Directors of other Departments, NULGE, the DPO and other security operatives, former members of the state and National Assembly, former Chairmen and Councilors from the Area, senior citizens, political stalwarts, Clans and village Heads, youth, women, Children and Clergy to the ceremony.
